@matrix 4 cores is (not) enough depending on what you're doing.

Yes more cores doesn't necessarily mean programs will be running faster but it does mean you can run more programs at the same time a bit more easily, i.e. OS has less juggling to do.

unless you're running RT OS

@matrix 4 cores 8 threads is fine
t. 4790 that I'm only thinking about replacing because I want more memory than my board supports

@matrix 4c/4t is okay for low end gaming, 4c/8t fares a bit better
