LTT Linux Gaming Challenge Pt.2
[1:40] apt
Linus is saying he tried to use apt on manjaro, and had to *gasp* look online to find out arch-based distros use pacman
1) he then goes on to say it's "making life more difficult" that when you try to use apt it doesn't say you should use pacman
2) he goes on to say using apt actually makes it try to install apt but doesn't work, "infinite loop, baby"
for 2), it's either a bug, or he didn't read again (reminder that he didn't read in part 1, I can't expect him to learn how to read in a few days). He doesn't show any screenshot of that happening, and on arch I don't have that issue so 🤷♀️ (picture is what I get for any fan who don't get it)
for 1) it sounds dumb to me.
First of all because he shouldn't use the terminal, but a distro-agnostic program like KDE discover (he used one in part 1, so he can't say he doesn't know about them. And even if I don't use manjaro, I have no doubt they ship their OS with a program like this, basically every beginner-friendly distro does it)
Second, because he did find out about pacman easily online.
I'm at the end of character limit but I think that's enough for this part
