@matrix Ok, I was a HARDCORE gurps player and GM back in the day and I can confirm this is exactly true. Gurps has always allowed unusual and oddball characters and even rewarded with its points system having a quirky character.

D&D has always been for RETARDS and MOUTHBREATHERS

GURPS has always been for people who are AWESOME and are at least decent at math.

Which is opposite of the D&D community which is full of people extra-sensitive to your character being a 'mary-sue' because you want to be, I dunno, a half-dwarf half-gnome.
