@Charfuhrer @EnjuAihara @sandy I'm from a mostly atheistic country and have already argued this with Christians here that Mary was a teen.
@matrix @Charfuhrer @EnjuAihara @sandy Anything past puberty in antiquity I would would be considered fair game. Post-puberty is a different set of circumstances more contingent on historical/cultural conditions. Young adolescents in the 13-15 age range I wouldn't support in a stable modern society, but would be more acceptable in a situation where lifespans are considerably shorter and less certain. 16-18 is where I would consider a reasonable age range to set for AOC. And anything prepubescent is woodchipper material under any circumstances.

Definitely agree.
Islam is much worse in this case since the Bible doesn't say Mary's age, while the Hadith specifically says Muhammad married Aisha at age 9.
