The game is still really fun when you get into a proper battle.
I have no clue how I played the beta with a GT 96000M and a core 2 duo. It's still a pretty demanding game.
Oshur is pretty fun however I'm disappointed by the underwater mechanics since it's basically useless. The underwater is flat and empty so it's ugly and useless for a fight and you need to buy special guns for fighting underwater, but there isn't a incentive to fight underwater so why should people even get them. At least water doesn't kill you now.
