@matrix they say this because it’s a common thing for sex trafficked women to put a metal spoon in their pants in order to get help and get away from their captor.

Chastity devices tend to be metal or have metal.

@sjw @matrix it is. The only reason I’m aware of it is because I did some work for an organization trying to fight sex trafficking back in 2018.

It wasn’t anything super big. Mostly just editing work. Learned a decent amount though.

@rikkatakarada @matrix Yeah that how it goes.
You don't even have to work in the department to pick up stuff.
Make a video ad for a DC? You can learn a lot about how a DC works, networking, automation, etc.
Do house keeping at a hospital? You can learn a lot about nursing, medicine, physical therapy, etc.
Do videogame bug testing? You can learn a lot about game design, programming, modelling, etc.

Some people are constantly learning and yearning for new information. Other people, "don't want to learn anything because they already went to school and learned enough."
I'll never understand the latter.

@sjw @matrix yeah, I absolutely love learning and I always want to learn more, whether it’s a niche topic or not.

No one is ever done learning in this life, voluntarily or not, you will learn new lessons every day.

@rikkatakarada @matrix My favourite channels as a kid were the discovery channel and TLC (stood for "The Learning Channel" at the time). Then a few years later we got the National Geographics Channel and that was the shit! I still watched Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon but I'd say it was a good 50/50 between cartoons and educational shit.
I've legit been considering subscribing to Curiosity Stream as it's not only way cheaper than any other streaming services but it's nothing but educational shit and documentaries which don't really exist on TV anymore.

@sjw @matrix ooh, definitely need to subscribe to this. It’ll be something that if nothing else, plays in the background and then I pick up knowledge that way.

@rikkatakarada @matrix Right? And it's only like $6/mo or $70/yr. Really seems to be worth it. A lot of YouTubers have a promo code that'll give you 3 months for free.

@sjw
Don't forget you also get access to Nebula and some of the Nebula content seems pretty good
@rikkatakarada

@matrix @rikkatakarada I didn't even know that. That just makes it better!

@sjw
Oh, sorry. I was a bit wrong. You need to use a YT promo code that's qualified to get access to Nebula
