@matrix akshually most of those years in german states were spent invading and killing eachother, not the anglos
@igelsQTs @matrix my German grandma (dad's side) came to Canada pregnant with my aunt, her brother almost made it on the boat but was conscripted, and then she met my grandpa. My aunt (only daughter, rest were boys) had red hair like her mother, she had two red hair sons and they have at least one daughter between them. The grandma passed away a few years ago and then the aunt did too. They were interesting people.
