@roboneko @matrix According to the FDA there was an actual shortage of Adderall and its generic version which is “Amphetamine Mixed Salts” or MAS, it’s a combination of four, between “09/12/2019 - 05/31/2022”:
Also note two companies are no longer making it, and perhaps the FDA’s information does not quite match the facts on the ground. Or as or more likely the reporting on this does not match the facts on the ground today.
Of course amphetamines can be cooked up, but people who are getting real prescriptions for this set of four at specific dosages are I assume not all that likely to switch to street drug with god knows what in them.
Nowadays that’s a good way to get killed with powerful synthetic narcotics poorly mixed in with plenty (I’ve read a certain cheap blender intended for liquids not powders is ubiquitous for this), and this includes fake prescription tablets.
