The first is to bitch on Kiwi Farms and Twitter, and mock those responsible. This sometimes works, but either the parties responsible will regroup and rebrand, or new people will take their place.

The second is to adapt some of their strategies. One forum posted about a smaller scale version of what Silverstring/Sweet Baby Inc has done. There's a whole "Boomer Shooter" grift with random shit indie devs making "safe edgy" 90s inspired shooters which tick all the same boxes, but there's one thing in common.

There's somewhat of a welfare system at play. Gianni Matragrano (duke nukem vasectomy guy) will do the voice acting or have credits, while Civvie 11 will do reviews of the games to market them to the masses. After all, these developers make sure to say the magic phrase after all.

In a way it's a smaller scale, lower budget version of what happened during GamerGate with how deep the corruption was running with devs like Phil Fish. They were simply playing the game the way it was intended, they had people there doing marketing, an awards show that was clearly having conflicts of interest, and if anything Phil Fish was just his own worst enemy.

You can't say that about many gamers aside from the anons on the /AGDG/ threads, and anglosphere chan culture got taken out back and shot by a coalition of furries, glowies, journalists, and a vindictive cripple.

Many gamers are literal soyjaks who will buy the current game and complain about it. Then if things get too bad they'll bank everything on remasters. Even if the game from 2007 is censored, it's not the game from 2024.

Thankfully with picrel, you will never have to worry about the darn kiwis again, especially with the site's "don't touch the shit"/"no cowtipping"/"don't tap the glass" policy (depending on the era of the site) that gives it less effectiveness compared to OnAForums or The Sharty.

But maybe they weren't needed as much given that any nonce with a reposted callout post on there can say it's fabricated.

This isn't about KF though, this is about influence. Normies can sometimes turn out drama as long as it's not headlines like "rockstar arrested for diddling babies".

Of course even people in that sphere are also burnt out on this culture war shit, it's why some of the most popular threads on the site lately are on a writer who is mocked for wanting to fight everyone ever online, and a crackhead gambler who does nothing but stream himself doing drugs and gambling and raging. It's the same reason why IP2 is so big, people want to see a shitshow.

My point is, you need to network. You need to have a reviewer friend with a channel, for a voice actor buddy who has the right connections, etc.

there is a specific type of person that compulsively hurts others and is good at nepotism and lying. usually these people are diagnosed with cluster b personality disorders such as narcissism.

let me say it again: these people have a COMPULSION to hurt others.

they have all sorts of endless ways to justify it, hiding behind misunderstandings or some bizarre sense of justice, but it is all window dressing to cover up an urge to hurt people. they will invent reasons why you deserve it even if you have done nothing wrong. vtubing and content creation as a whole is infested with these people. hell, one of them tried to dox me just a few days ago, and the entire drama around dokibird and nijisanji boils down to elira and vox are those sorts of people.

they are incapable of not hurting people. in any situation where they think they can get away with it, they will hurt people. in a healthy cohesive society, they would be kept at the fringes and friends/family/do-gooders would warn others "hey, stay away from that guy" which is a method of stopping them. if they do not have the chance to hurt others, they cannot take it.

there is no way to make this behavior stop. it is not fixable. you need external pressures to make them not do that such as people beating their ass for it. they will still continue to attempt it. they will always continue to attempt it. there are currently no mechanisms in place to make them stop doing it so they will continue doing it with impunity.

until there is some sort of legitimate external punishment to them for behaving in this way, they will continue to do this. it cannot be a one-off thing like some internet drama, it needs to be a persistent thing. they do not stop until someone stops them. the people behind sweet baby inc will not stop until someone stops them.

trying to build a parallel network does not stop them. it doesn't do anything to them. it gives them another target to hurt at best.
