I just heard a clank from one of my external drives when unmounting and now it doesn't want to connect to my computer... Did I just witness a head crash?
Also a ton of ROMs, movies etc
It's the fucking board that died. The drive is fine.

@matrix reboot the computer, see if SMART gives any information. definitely try a different enclosure.

@fyw321 Not on the HDD, but the enclosure and as luck would have it, I have a second external drive that is dead, but the enclosure works
@matrix oh that's a good news in a shitty situation, just make sure the power supply has enough Amps
