JFC I just HAD to pick up the hardest PS2 to mod.
Time to give this thing another crack (hopefully not literally this time)
This PS2 seems to just shrug off any attempt of mine to softmod it. It dodged the disc swap exploit and is seemingly immune to freehddboot. I opened it up to see if there was maybe a mod chip inside that was messing with things: squeaky clean and now I have an extra screw that I'm not sure where it goes.
It's also worse that all the PS2 tools are w*ndows only, don't work properly under wine and modders are allergic to providing source code for stuff so I can't even port it.
@matrix I just don't wanna deal with w*ndows, man
