@matrix the fact that they're using unreal engine 5 for a cell shaded game that should be able to be ran on a potato says everything.
I mean borderlands has kinda always been slop but I think it's a lot more prevalent now the only reason it's still able to keep his throne is because literally no other person competes in that genre I mean really think of one game that you could say is similar to borderlands that isn't a live service.

@iska you're right, but I'm talking about games to where people over hype them as the game that's going to replace or kill the main series like how people hyped up lies of P to replace souls like stuff from Miyazaki.
Or how people hyped up x defiant to finally kill call of duty.
I know whenever that happens I normally means the game's going to crash and burn horribly but it still be nice to see a lot of traction especially for something to replace borderlands and it's terrible humor.
Because it's not even that borderlands is a bad game it's gameplay loop is actually pretty fun if you like that style. Which I do, it's just the story and general characters are super obnoxious and horrible and greatly make the game less fun.
If any game just straight copies their gameplay loop and makes the story generic or even better than it blow up in my opinion on people who want a real alternative to borderlands but it's just my perspective of it.
