@matrix He should have studied his subject better. I agree with him on the dual/single layer quality compression issue.
In my case it's pure bit rot, the thing is kinda high quality, all of it is dual layer, it's a mess tho for multi language and it seems they mostly copy pasted previous menus in these.
Plus de numbers on the discs don't follow, you don't know which season is what, there's no booklet either to know.

That aside he's wrong about compression, dvd players have to always be able to decode mpeg2 for them to be compatible across all players, what did change tho is the fucking DRM.
They updated CSS in the last DVD sets and it fucks up the image to downright makes them incompatible on old players, only on pc with libdvdcss and vlc you'll get proper results.
