@matrix Haven't watched the video, though I might in a minute, but I totally agree they mischaracterised him. There was so much dumb shit about him in the show.
He wouldn't create that mind control device, (and if he did he'd only ever consider it for extremely sane purposes, like trying to cure schizophrenics or other actual crazies.) He wouldn't go to some random bar and kill 3 guys to 'test it'.
Also the twist that the face of Mr House is someone else is so fucking dumb.
They kept trying to make him 'evil genius' instead of just 'genius'. The question posed about him in Fallout New Vegas is interesting, it's not really just about capitalism/libertarianism, the main question posed is 'Would you trust an almost benevolent immortal dictator?', which the show doesn't grapple with at all.
