getting anything from OSM is pain. all the free apis are constantly overloaded
@matrix can't you just download the planet file and do local processing
@matrix if you know what tags you need you can cut the size down and throw away what you don't want with osmium tool
@Chizu i do cache the needed areas and tags, just refetching them is always annoying. good point that i could do that filtering myself and just upload the cut osm files, but my internet speeds aren't great
@matrix if you're only working in one region I think OSM also publishes those
