Most health care costs are from people living objectively unhealthy lifestyles. That's why tax funded health care works pretty well in places like Japan, because they don't live unhealthy.
This is an another way of weaponizing empathy. Using the sick to get people to pay for someone's shitty life choices.
Another example is grifters crying harrasment to get donations.

If people do not cooperate, so you stop too and leave them and then they suffer consequences of that decision, wouldn't blind empathy say to give them free stuff?
I should have formulated the question better: How do you deal with people actively sabotaging cooperation? Isn't imprisonment a good option? But wouldn't blind empathy say we should free them?
The mechanism for dealing with shitty people are in us, but they only work on an interpersonal level and don't work 100% of the time.
