I'm thinking of buying refurbished server for Matrix and Peertube however all of those that would make financial sense have Ivy Bridge or older Xeons so it would mean lower single threaded performance than my rented dedi with an i7-3370

I figured it out. It was me who broke it. I was tweaking the chunk size of chunked uploads and forgot that it's set in bytes and accidentally set it to 20 thinking it's set in MB.

@sjw@neckbeard.xyz I migrated to Postgres and the issue still remains. CPU is at about 80% when uploading just from PHP-FPM.
