So here's the sad truth, (no offense to you or our ancestors) but somewhere down the line someone had to fuck a partner (that we would consider ugly) in order for me and you to live.
It's not so much that there are women jealous of 2d woman and video games, it that the men who enjoy these things are UNAVAILABLE to them. The men that enjoy these things may not be the best looking but in order to feed their hobbies they must have money and be intelligent/hardworking to get it. Simply put, geeks are one of the safest choices to have a kid with.
When women complain about 2d girls and videogames they don't try to eliminate the video game or the waifu they try to change the man's opinion, through shame usually. They imply with their attacks that if they just give up on their geek things they could have a sexual relationship with someone, effectively opening them up in the breeding pool. If geeks weren't desirable in any way you would not hear any complaints. They would just say "yeah, no" and move on.
