@karen Sorry to be a dick but essentially all you're saying is "I've discovered money can't buy happiness" which is a vital stage for us all to go through.

It *can*, hoewver, buy us *security*, which is very condusive towards the attainment of happiness.

but I'm a firm believer in the idea that real happiness comes only from self-actualisation, and not from hedonistic fulfilment, which may lift our mood and alleviate our burdens but always fades in the end.

How many times do you talk to me and I'm like "yeah i'm just high and playing games" or whatever? That brings me enjoyment, yes, but you saw how I got more and more stormy and moody and tortured this week, yes? And then hopefully you noticed how that alleviated when I wrote Chapter 5?

Because that creative act was me actualising my self.
