To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand ActivityPub. The documentation is extremely generic, and without a solid grasp of theoretical quantum computing physics most of the details will go over a typical viewerâs head. Thereâs also Gargronâs nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Karl Marx literature, for instance. The fediverse understands this stuff; it has the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these endpoints, to realise that theyâre not just an API - they say something deep about REST. As a consequence people who dislike ActivityPub truly ARE idiots - of course they wouldnât appreciate, for instance, the profoundness in ActivityStreamâs existential catchphrase âThis section is non-normativeâ, which itself is a cryptic reference to Wileyâs For Dummies book series. Iâm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Eugen Rochkoâs genius wit unfolds itself on their timelines. What fools.. how I pity them. ð
And yes, by the way, I DO have an ActivityPub implementation. And no, you cannot see it. Itâs for the mastodoniansâ eyes only - and even then they have to demonstrate that theyâre within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid ð
