Hah, one of my friends got a little more redpilled.

“Supreme Court of Canada says that now even if something you’re saying is completely true and not just an opinion it can be considered hate speech and is prosecutable. WTF?! That’s like the dumbest ruling, because who’s to say what is hate speech then? the first person who comes forward to say they’re offended, or is there a rule on which side you take. Because it’s obviously not science or the truth anymore. That was literally how the law used to work, if you had the facts and the truth and you could prove it you were in the right. This ruling quite literally means that someone could now say that the judge making this ruling is hateful against people who speak the truth and the judge is guilty of hate speech. Or any lawyer that defends someone accused of hate speech by giving facts to prove their case is also guilty. This ruling literally opened a giant can of worms, it’s a huge loophole. It says that science, and facts , and the truth doesn’t matter anymore as long as someone says they’re offended.”

Yeah this had been true for a while there, sportsfan.
