There's something that's been bothering me quite a bit about Ace Attorney Dual Destinies. This "dark age of the law" narrative. It says that it started by a lawyer fabricating evidence and prosecutor being convinced of a murder. The problem is that it's nothing new in the Ace Attorney universe, especially when it comes to the prosecution, and yet the game treats it as something completely new that has never happened.

Wright fabricating evidence has already been disproven in the previous game.
And when it comes to murder, Von Karma has been convicted of murder and has fabricated evidence and has stalled or medled investigations. Also another prosecutor was found guilty of murder in Ace Attorney Investigations.

I think by making a grand narrative that erupts in the final act has backfired a bit.
