Can you store a Postgres DB’s data directory over NFS? Conventional wisdom says no, but this guy’s 58 page slideshow says yes: https://www.slideshare.net/GiuseppeBroccolo/gbroccolo-pgconfeu2016-pgnfs
Also, apparently everyone blamed NFS (“network failure system”) in the past for data corruption when it was actually due to postgres handling fsync() poorly for 20 years: https://archive.fosdem.org/2019/schedule/event/postgresql_fsync
And the latest postgres docs no longer recommend against NFS.
