ironically enough, in trying to protect "minors," you are hurting them and stunting their growth by treating them like little kids until theyre 18, at which point theyre supposed to suddenly gain all the knowledge and wisdom of an adult, and thats the big problem with american culture for maybe the last decade or more, the infantilization of teenagers; how do you think we get COLLEGE students, who are LEGAL ADULTS, crying and bitching about the stupidest things and demanding safe-spaces where they can be treated like little kids? is it maybe because they WERE treated like little kids all through highschool?

all this goes back to a basic but pretty true boomer take: young folks nowadays are too soft, if you treat them like kids, then youre gonna get 25~30 year old kids
