Fun fact: May 1, "May Day", "International Workers Day", "Labor Day" (although the US observes it in September) is a communist holiday.

It commemorates the Haymarket Riot on May 4, 1886. There were some commies protesting having to work more than eight hours, it was peaceful until some antifa-precursor threw a pipe bomb at the cops, at which point the cops opened fire. This caused a riot.

:dorner: I have no sympathy for the cops, but I also have no sympathy for idiots that throw a pipe bomb and then cry foul when the other party returns fire. Don't start a fight if you're gonna whine that the other guy gets to fight, too.

To celebrate this, the Second International declared it "mandatory upon the proletarian organisations of all countries to stop work on 1 May, wherever it is possible without injury to the workers."

:ancap: Within my first 100 days in office, I will cancel Labor Day. :ancap:
:ancap: Get back to work. :ancap:
