I hate Google/Chrome and how fucked up the web is, but blocking Chrome is not the right way.
It's quite similar to Tusky's Gab block in that It reflects an attitude that says "you are stupid for using this software" â it assumes that users can't make informed decisions or that there aren't legitimate reasons for using this software and I hate that. Sometimes you just can't use any alternatives, such as at work if IT decided that Chrome is the only browser you may use.
If you hate Chrome that much, show users a message about why it's a bad browser. If you want to go full Google, make the website perform worse for Chrome (in addition to the message), just like how they do it with YouTube for non-Chrome users. But don't outright deny access.
