I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as Spetznas, is in fact, GRU/Spetznas, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GRU plus Spetznas. Spetznas is not a unit unto itself, but rather another component of the Main Intelligence Directorate organization, made useful by specialized training, top of the line equipment, and a blank cheque by the Russian government
