Anyone who has tried to play a simple puzzle game on a modern smartphone knows the pain. You download a basic 50MB logic game just to kill ten minutes, and suddenly it wants network permissions, location access, and show you advertising. Worse, you spend 15 seconds playing a level and 45 seconds watching unskippable video ads for sketchy casinos, or hitting paywalls asking you to buy ‘gems’ ‘coins’ ‘diamonds’ just to keep playing.
When I committed to deGoogling my life and reclaiming my digital privacy, the biggest gap I noticed in the FOSS ecosystem was casual gaming. Leaving the centralized store ecosystem shouldn’t mean giving up the games you love to play while waiting for the train or winding down at night or just resting.
That frustration is what pushed me to start building and porting clean, lightweight, open-source games for the F-Droid community. No trackers, no telemetry, no dark pattern, no micro-transactions, and zero ads—ever. Just pure offline gameplay that respects your device and your privacy."
