Does anyone know why nouveau makes it so your computer can't suspend? I know installing proprietary drivers can fix things, but they made my computer run super hot and made my battery drain really fast, so I'd like to avoid those if possible. or is it even possible to just not use any nvidia driver and just use integrated graphics? (I only game and such on a Windows partition so I don't need my graphics card for stuff on my Elementary OS partition)

Easiest answer I can giveas to why Nouveau has issues is that as far as I know it's a skeleton crew of people working on Nouveau drivers. It actually works better on older cards than newer. GTX 7xx series and older are ok but not great and anything newer is very hit and miss.
