With x86 getting increasingly worse for privacy; security; and user freedom many have started looking for escape routes. If you haven't well you should if you care about the above issues. One popular destination is PowerPC chips like with the Talos II desktop. Expensive as it is the Talos II is a great option. Some people need a laptop not a desktop though and for that there are no PowerPC options yet. Some are trying to change that and need some money to make it happen.
