okay seriously, all the preppers out there, as a poor suburbanite slob who's never prepped before, what should i be buying? realistically speaking for a suburbainite mind you. if you tell me"grow your own garden" im already dead.

I wouldn't call myself a hardcore prepper by any means but some sound advice I have heard includes water; canned food; disposable lighters; and ammo. Think not just about what you may use but what you may trade as well. You may not know how to garden but do you have any skills you could barter with ? People always think about lone wolfing it but eventually you'll find something you need to trade for.
