In 1988, Konami released the arcade version of Castlevania.
What? You’ve never played Castlevania in the arcade?!
That’s because Akumajō Dracula – the Japanese name for Castlevania – was never released outside of Japan.
Later on, it got a PlayStation 2 port. But again, this was exclusive to Japan. Nobody overseas got to play it.
