I am hopeful with RISC-V but I would be lying if I said my experience with a Hi-Five Unmatched has been silky smooth. Same goes for ARM64 with my Librem 5, Pinephone CE and RockPro64. ARM64 has come a long way though and so shall RISC-V.
@publiclewdness it "just" needs to be mainlined... Having to deal with old kernels and random patches from Chinese manufacturers is not great.
