#Jolla Community Phone / C2:
just announced on stream (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nEC3sVExAU). No info on SoC, shipping with Sailfish OS 5.
Now they're announcing some trustworthy 100% private, user-controlled AI thing - that's supposed to be helpful with everyday tasks. I am not hype on AI, but if the promises hold up, that's interesting.
I like everything I see except it doesn't say the battery is removable. Nothing is perfect but man would that have been just ideal.
Nevermind AI stuff, there is a new #sailfishos reference phone from Jolla!

I'd pay to watch this. Can't say that often these days.
Screen recording with Kooha on OnePlus 6t, postmarketOS, Gnome-Mobile: G4Music, quick settings, and screenshot tool with some music, 30 fps.
I agree with their sentiment. I will also say that some of the best projects have what many would describe as a tyrant at the top directing things as they see fit. I shudder to think of where the Linux kernel would be without Torvalds or where OpenBSD would be without Theo de Raadt for instance or if they still had them but were forced to listen to any and all ideas hurled at them.
You know what, I can absolutely respect this take, he's not dancing around the subject trying to be nice so that he doesn't hurt anyone's feeling, he's willing to step up and just be an asshole so that he can say what a lot of people are think about OSS https://world.hey.com/dhh/open-source-is-neither-a-community-nor-a-democracy-606abdab

I have been gaming since 1992 and building PCs since 2003. I enjoy Linux, supporting FOSS projects and am a tinfoil hat connoisseur.
