@darth

I wish more people would follow your actions. Good for you.

@frameworkcomputer

How goes the work of getting the Framework laptops to use Coreboot ? Doing so would help limit the Intel ME and the AMD PSP which would improve anonymity given their basically black boxes.

@darth

Good choice. I dislike Fosstodon's practice of blocking so many instances which censors which content their users can see. I wouldn't go back to them even if they would have me which I doubt they would.

I tried OpenSuse on my RockPro64 and it worked with one hitch. I can't choose to have full disk encryption enabled. if I do it doesn't recognize any keyboard I have plugged in and I can't type in my FDE password. If I choose to not use FDE then it boots into the user login screen by which time my keyboard works. It took a bit of getting used to OpenSuse in terms of their package manager and other bits but I could see this being my main choice of distro on my RockPro64. FDE may not work properly on it right now but many distros don't even give the option for FDE on ARM64 so it's a step in the right direction.

@governa

16GB RAM and 128GB EMMC bring the price to $406 CAD/299 USD for those interested. I don't like Ubuntu but I would take it over AOSP. Not a ton of distro options on RISC-V yet. I could see myself getting this tablet as well as their RISC-V laptop.

Minds #writingcommunity, do you expect your readers to be doing English-teacher levels of analysis of any of the lines, scenes, or elements of your fiction? What accurate interpretations might a (non-postmodern) deep literary analysis of one of your key scenes reveal that a surface reading isn't going to detect?

The Trouble With Mountain Goats
Well ok I don't have a problem with them, though they sure seem crazy jumping about on narrow rocky ledges with seemingly not a care...! 🐐

A mountain goat stands precariously on the edge of a steep, rocky cliff, gazing into the expansive sky where a bird is flying. Snow-capped mountains serve as a majestic backdrop under the bright blue sky with scattered clouds.
