Who's into #LinuxMobile and plans to attend #38c3?

Want to form an assembly?
events.ccc.de/en/2024/11/03/38 - Nov 24 is the deadline.

I (Peter) think it would be nice to have one, but after my failing to make it happen last year (linmob.net/37c3) I don't want to try again - the failure was in part due to a stressful end of year at $dayjob and it's going to be similar this year.

This does not have to be a stand, and could just be a home base to connect and hack on things!

This week's donation went to Leaf. He's the main developer behind the Itchio gaming store, their client, and most of their platform. He also makes the occasional game himself. if you haven't heard of Itch it's a store that offers many DRM free games as well as having a FOSS client that has a Linux version.

He has a personal site here:

https://leafo.net/

Some of his code can be found at Github:

https://github.com/leafo

He also has a store page on the Itch store:

https://leafo.itch.io/

He has a presence on the Fediverse:

If you wish to help him financially you can sponsor him on Github or buy games from the Itch store.

Heya folks! If you package software for Solus, please remember to perform a solbuild reset if you haven't yet after the Week 45 updates!

If you have faster internet, run:
`go-task solbuild-reset` from the packages repository.

If you have slower internet, run `sudo rm /var/lib/solbuild/images/* && sudo solbuild init -p {unstable,main}-x86_64`. Doing it this way won't nuke your solbuild cache.

Happy packaging!

Trash article. No recommendation to ditch closed source options like Microsoft or Apple, hell they even praise iMessage. They suggest Signal for communications even though you have to provide a phone number as well as link it to a mobile device and you have to use Play Store or Apple's app store to get it on mobile.

🔗 Seems like people are moving around between social media apps so new profile link options now available on your account settings page: You can set Bluesky, Mastodon, and Threads accounts by revealing the "More Links" section. All of these links will appear on your profile page.

Links added will have "rel=me" inserted on your profile so you can get a green check mark on your mastodon profile!
