We improved notch/cutout support so devices with cameras in the indicator area (like the Nothing Phone 1) are now handled better:

It's now easier to spot in p-o-s which layer will be activated and switching to the 2nd symbol layer is more consistent:

The maximum haptic strength in feedbackd can now be configured. Also haptics can now use the full range and feedback profiles can use the `VibraPattern` for more nuanced feedback. Should haptics be too soft/strong on your device please submit updates to feedbackd-device-profiles!

The desktop portal gained initial support for v2 of the notification spec. This finally allows flatpak applications to set categories (most notably `im.received`) and markup body, thus catching up with non-portaled applications.
(Note to app developers: glib's widely used notification implementation doesn't forward that yet (https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/-/merge_requests/4027) but libnotify does.

There's also been plenty of bug (including crash-) fixes and phoc now supports the ext-foreign-toplevel-info and alpha-modifier-v1 protocol Wayland protocols.

As our community grows, we are increasing the focus we put on planning and organizing the work we do. Therefore we have been thinking hard about priorities for this year.

On her back somewhere.
By moving out of the FSF office, we realized how many fun and historically important free software memorabilia the FSF has and we thought it a pity to lock them away in a storage unit where nobody ever sees them. Instead, we decided we want to entrust them to the #FreeSoftware #community, and we hope that some of them will be displayed in galleries or on your wall. Learn more: https://u.fsf.org/45y #FSF40
I have been gaming since 1992 and building PCs since 2003. I enjoy Linux, supporting FOSS projects and am a tinfoil hat connoisseur.
Many FOSS projects rely on donations. If you have money to spare but don't know which to donate to take a look at the above links on Ko-fi, Github, and Open Collective. Anything on there that I have sponsered or contributed to is something I have found to be worthy.
