Been buying stock for about 4 months now and finally got to vote as a shareholder in one of the companies. I've only got 125 shares out of about 150 million shares total so likely means squat but damn did it feel good.

Successfully upgraded a Dell Optiplex 3010 to a Xeon e3-1225 v2 processor, replacing the i5-3450 that was originally in the computer.

Also was able to replace the memory with ECC memory (PC3L-12800E) - Registered memory won't work, though.

Apparently Alpine Linux has chosen to not use the fork of X11 called Xlibre. That in itself isn't overly good or bad but the reasoning is apparently because of politics not code which is a poor reason to use towards any software if true. Bryan Lunduke has a video on the subject over at Rumble:

We have a couple of changes to announce regarding the payment methods available to donors on Liberapay.

The good news is that card payments can now be processed through France's “Cartes Bancaires” network.

The bad news is that direct debits of Euro bank accounts are now only supported when the donation recipient is in one of the 32 European countries supported by Stripe. The page liberapay.com/about/global has been improved to reflect the limitations of non-European Stripe accounts.

We know not everyone is in a position to donate $140 USD or more, which is why you can now apply to receive a sponsored #FSF membership: my.fsf.org/node/79 #JoinFSF

I followed the instructions on the Github. Was easy. Clicked the link which opened F-Droid and I chose to add the repo then clicked to download and install the browser. Working great so far. Great to have more F-Droid options.

A bombshell House Judiciary report just dropped: and it lays bare a quiet, coordinated assault on American speech.

The story: GARM, a group of mega-advertisers controlling ~90% of global ad spend, didn’t just police ads. They acted as a censorship cartel, colluding with foreign governments (yes, including the EU and Australia) to choke lawful speech they didn’t like.

GARM’s leaders called President Trump’s speech a “contagion” to be contained..

Got a weekly screenshot. Not much has changed since last week on the laptop. Gaming desktop may be different next week as i'm doing some Artix experimentation. Still got Devuan 5, OpenRC, the libre kernel and Mate on my NV41.

🚨 The Supreme Court just greenlit Texas’s online digital ID law; a 6-3 ruling that will shape the future of speech and privacy online.
