You're going to love Bastille 1.0!

The bastille list command is now significantly faster and smarter. See running and stopped jails, their current state, boot priority, boot status (on|off), release version, jail type and tags!

I gave the walking sim "Virginia" a replay earlier. It still works great with Wine. I played it through Heroic Games launcher using Wine 10.11 myself. I always admired how it was able to tell a detailed story without a single word spoken, just through music, facial expressions and gestures.

I had already written a review for it back in the day that is still accurate:

It is available DRM free on GOG and is worth it's full price of $10.99 CAD plus tax let alone the 65% off sale it's on until July 10, 2025.

📣 Calling all Linux nerds: Join us at AlmaLinux Day: Vancouver!

Tristan Théroux shares what to expect from this community-driven event, which focuses on all things AlmaLinux.

We hope to see you on August 9th!

Control your jail boot order!

BastilleBSD now supports priority=N for jails, so you can define which services
start first after reboot. (Lower priority starts first)

Are you ready for Bastille 1.0? Two weeks out!

Work aside, what are your favourite lifestyle apps in Nextcloud?

Did you know Bastille now supports parallel mode?

bastille -p 4 pkg ALL update

Will start updating packages in all jails, 4 processes at a time.

I finished a good FMV earlier called SIMULACRA. The short end of it is that it has a great atmosphere, good puzzles, but so so voice acting to go with some technical blemishes and a poor save system. Overall though very creepy and very worth it.

I posted a full review here:

It can be found DRM free at GOG and is worth the full price (currently $5.69 CAD plus tax).

I submitted a session "Why musl libc matters" to the All systems go! conference, but it got rejected. I take that as a "No it doesn't".

Too bad. Would have been nice to talk with the systemd devs face to face.

We talked about the roadmap for #AlpineLinux 3.23 yesterday. So far we have:

- apk-tools 3.0
- gcc 15
- python 3.13
- improve/clean up Alpine user handbook (we need volunteers for this)

See
gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/ if you want help or have things you are working on that should be included.

Curious about XLibre? So are we! That's why we created some experimental ISOs with the display server preinstalled.
