In a mixup I received a Volla Quintus phone instead of the X23 that I wanted. Seeing if I can sell it rather than do a return/exchange. It's up on Ebay for those interested and comes preinstalled with Ubuntu Touch.

It seems that the Wiki section of the Github repo for the Xlibre project was defaced recently by a few people. One of which was a man named Jeremy Bicha who is a developer at Canonical. Jeremy even used his Canonical email with the account to deface the page. Jeremy also pleaded no contest to charges of sexual battery of his sister back in 2010. Perhaps Jeremy should hear about the proverb of throwing stones in glass houses. If you are a sex offender maybe yours isn't the opinion we should be trusting on deciding who is and is not a nazi. The Lunduke journal has a video about this incident as well as detailing some others involved.

Here is the news article about Jeremy Bicha as well:

Not a good look for these people or the companies and foundations which employ and associate with them.

XLibre GitHub Wiki Page Defaced by a Convicted Rapist & an Anti-Semite

Representatives of Ubuntu & GNOME recently defaced a wiki page for the XLibre fork of Xorg. One of them was convicted of "thousands of [sexual] assaults" of little kids. The other spreads blood libel about Jews.

with Artix + Xlibre + s6 my power consumption is LESS running VMs than it was in OpenMandriva idling

they're both great distros but artix just does exactly what I want it to do (I said this about void before but I ended up having a lot of small problems with it, not so here!)

More good news! Another government is freeing itself from tech giants and vendor lock-in. The Danish Ministry of Digitalisation is dropping Microsoft Office/365 and moving to #LibreOffice, to get back control: blog.documentfoundation.org/bl #foss #OpenSource #freesoftware

Trapped by your tech provider? You're not alone! 🔒

Vendor lock-in is silently costing businesses millions and limiting their digital freedom.

Most companies don't realize they're trapped until it's too late to escape without massive costs.

Join the discussion as we explore proprietary BMC firmware on Supermicro X11SSH to learn how the system boots. The goal is to provide interoperability and transparency through the OpenBMC port for that platform.

The Threat Beneath: Hidden In-Chip Operating Systems

Modern CPUs from Intel and AMD ship with undocumented, embedded operating systems (Intel ME, AMD PSP) that run below your OS—at ring -3—with full system access and zero user control.

What’s at risk?

Persistent backdoors, remote code execution, firmware implants
Nation-state exploitation (NSA, China’s APTs, Shadow Brokers leaks)
Hidden microcontrollers that can operate even when powered “off”

On your main Linux distro, what are you currently using?

Xorg. Only devices I have using Wayland are mobile ARM devices. Distro wise Devuan and Artix are at the top of my list due to how they are handling XLibre.
