🚨 Health data will be opened up to exploitation by multi-national firms like Palantir 🚨
Contracts such as the NHS DataStore and Federated Data Platform give predatory private companies a stake in sensitive health data for profit over care.

"What would happen if any of the Bluetooth hearing aids manufacturers decided not to provide updates for models of which the warranty expired? Well, if the software on these hearing aids were free (as in freedom), then the free software community could help keep it updated." Fellow game devs, how do you handle user accounts (auth + data) for your games?
Asking because I'm working on a bespoke solution, but want to have a Steam release in the future. I don't want my game requiring users to use Steam (or make any accounts if they so choose) to play my game, but I want to provide them with the best experience, through whatever platform they use (or not).
Also #Godot.

Well this native zealot is having breakfast at the moment while browsing fedi :) To be fair I do still believe in no tux no bux because I want to support those developers who put in the effort to make a native Linux version. I was just never enough of an asshole to try to force others to agree with me or follow me. I simply put my money where my mouth was and was quiet about it unless asked. What I truly hate is when I make a thread in a game's forum asking if a developer has any plans for a native Linux version only to have it flooded with Linux users telling me how well it works on Wine/Proton. It had nothing to do with the thread topic.
I have been gaming since 1992 and building PCs since 2003. I enjoy Linux, supporting FOSS projects and am a tinfoil hat connoisseur.
