My wife smokes weed while drinking her pumpkin spice. The spice must be consumed no matter what.
It's sad that the "#Rust on #Linux" discussion on the invitation only #kernel maintainers summit I'm honored to participate in today is held in private, as having it in the open would send a strong signal:
The #LinuxKernel core maintainers really want Rust for Linux to succeed.
[Edit, to clarify: and many of them are willing to spend time and effort to make this happen.]

The FSF has an important role to play for computer users globally for years to come, and we still have a lot of work to do. Can you support our efforts by joining the FSF as an associate member for only $12/month ($6 for students)? https://www.fsf.org/join #BecomeAnFSFAssociateMember
I had never heard of XKCD before and had to do a web search to figure out what it was. Boosting for you though !

Just joined fosstodon and wanted to share an #introduction. I'm a programmer and enjoy programming in #C/C++. I also like #gardening, singing (especially #publicdomain music), #writing (including #fanfic ) and #baking. I'm a #FLOSS advocate and am always searching for useful, portable, lightweight #libre #software. Am happy to share recommendations on favorite #programs and #libraries.
Another useful #writing tool I almost forget to mention is wc. You'll find it on #Linux and #BSD distros. On Windows, #msys and #cygwin offer a version. There are several implementations of wc out there including versions in Busybox and Toybox. If you want to build it yourself or modify it, sbase has a straight forward version:

I can agree it is a terrible practice but there are social media platforms where you don't encounter this type of garbage. The server i'm on, gameliberty.club, and Minds have never done this type of garbage. People need to stop hoping that Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and the like will stop screwing them over and migrate to platforms that actually don't screw them over.
In New York teens were stealing cars and trying to run people over. Luckily the guy was armed and shot one of them. So far he hasn't been charged and hopefully it stays that way.
Good news, bad news in Chiraq. A man tried to come in through the bathroom window while a girl was showering. The girl ran out and got her mom. The mom threatened to shoot the man unless he left. He chose to continue trying to come through the window so she shot him. Police arrested him and while the mom isn't being charged she did have her gun confiscated. Hopefully she gets it back soon as I can only imagine what Chiraq is like unarmed.

I have been gaming since 1992 and building PCs since 2003. I enjoy Linux, supporting FOSS projects and am a tinfoil hat connoisseur.
Many FOSS projects rely on donations. If you have money to spare but don't know which to donate to take a look at the above links on Ko-fi, Github, and Open Collective. Anything on there that I have sponsered or contributed to is something I have found to be worthy.
