GhostBSD has released version 24.10.1. It's an OS out of Canada that is based on FreeBSD but put's it's own spin on things such as having the Mate desktop preinstalled and having a GUI installer among other things. This release offers better hardware compatibility, fixes five bugs, fixes two security issues, makes it so Chromium has the necessary options to watch Netflix, and more. The code is licensed using the BSD-3-Clause license. If you're looking to leave Windows or Mac OS for a more privacy and security friendly operating system then I can easily recommend GhostBSD.

Mobile Linux distro Droidian has been updated to version 100. This update upgraded Phosh, GTK, Firefox, replaces the stock keyboard, and more. Droidian is a GNU/Linux distribution based on Debian for mobile devices using technologies such as libhybris and Halium. Droidian has an installer that is based on the Ubuntu Touch Installer. So far the OS runs on seven devices officially with community support for three more. If you're looking for a more privacy friendly OS than Android or iOS Droidian may be an option for you.

Heads up: the aarch64 server that hosts all the arm builders is frozen up and the repositories are not receiving updates at the moment.

We need someone on site to restart the server, which we expect to happen tomorrow (18-11) end of day.

Agreed. Huge numbers of users won't make it better, in some cases could make it worse.
