After next week's sync, Solus will no longer run on kernels older than 5.15. This is because, with the release of kernel 6.12, we are bumping the `glibc` syscall baseline to 5.15, which will disable all code paths for older kernels. This only affects people who are compiling their own kernel, running Solus in a container, or otherwise using an old kernel, including `chroot`ing into Solus using a very old ISO. Our previous baseline was 5.10. This baseline is updated regularly, about once a year.

MNT's line of Reform laptops is promising. Can you help to replace the nonfree code used to initialize the RAM to make it fully compatible with freedom?

Thank you from the bottom of our GNU little heart! #ThankGNU to Neil Banerjee, Ramana Kumar, Richard Ellwood, Stéphane Bortzmeyer, and Zacchae for their generous contribution to the #fsf Let's fight for freedom together! u.fsf.org/3vy

Just listened to an informative and inspiring interview of Alexander Medvednikov, creator of the V programming language.

The interview is in Russian, as I am not fluent in that language I turned on English sub-titles and read along.

Very much worth the time for me, as I very much value Alexander's approach. The last twenty minutes gave me insights into his values and priorities. I think his goals for what computing and tech could be is inspiring.

The V programming language is still in beta and it might be a while before it reaches 1.0, so heads up on that.
