This week's donation went to KeePassXC. It's a fantastic FOSS password manager that you can find in your distro repo; a PPA; Flatpak and an App Image. You can use it on Linux; BSD; Mac and Windows. The code is licensed using GPLV2.0 and GPLv3.0.

The project's official website is here:

The team has a presence on Mastodon and Matrix:

I mentioned a couple days ago that the Linux Libre kernel has been updated to version 6.16. A whole bunch more blobs had to be removed to keep it fully libre. This continues to be one of the best kernels to use if privacy and security are your top concerns as it keeps closed source blobs to a miniumum that do God knows what. I Updated my NovaCustom NV41 and my Z690 desktop earlier with no issues. I also have some great news to announce. I always test new major releases of the libre kernel on some spare GPU's to see if any of them have become supported and while I can't say that anything new started working with the Libre Kernel I can say that my R9 270 has vastly improved under it. It was a few kernels ago when I could start to actually use the R9 270 and do things like change refresh rates and resolutions as well as use multiple monitors. Gaming on Super Tux Kart was a slideshow even on lowest even up to kernel 6.15. With the 6.16 version of the Libre Kernel the frame rates have improved from a 1-2 FPS slideshow to a minimum of 17 FPS and a maximum of 23 FPS. That may not seem like much but it gives me a lot of hope and it is positive progress. Perhaps when Trisquel 12 and the next version of Devuan stable release they may even build upon that as they will have a newer version of Mesa than the 23.2.1 and the 22.3.6 that they have right now.

Got the 6.16 version of the Libre Kernel installed. Time to test out some hardware and see if anything works with it that didn't before. Also guess counts as screenshot Saturday.
