The reason I hold this view, which may seem reckless, is because I know how many other failed narratives are in play right now. Covid didn’t break the healthcare system, it merely revealed how broken it was all along… So what other false narratives are lurking, ready to pounce with even greater cruelty that Covid? There are so many I might as well begin here. The US Federal Reserve has utterly destroyed markets to the point they really only serve now as conduits for freshly printed funny-money to be shoveled straight into billionaire portfolios.
A new release, v0.21.1 was just cut to address a security issue in the websocket package. For more information, see this report: https://mellium.im/cve/cve-2022-24968/
The #XMPP standards foundation (XSF) has applied to Google Summer of Code 2022.
GSoC pays people a stipend to contribute to open source projects over the summer
It used to be just for students, but AFAIK it's now open to anyone.
I've added one-on-one Audio/Video calls to #ConverseJS as a project idea. I'm stepping up to be mentor for this project.
If web/JavaScript is not your thing, there are also other projects in Go, Vala, C++ and Java

So the main reason I wrote the Visual Voicemail App for mainline linux phones is because my mother leave voicemails if she can't get a hold of me to check up on me and gets worried if I don't call her back.
I'm glad to share that my mom can still do that since I switched to a #librem5
(and yes, I did call her back both times!)
I have been gaming since 1992 and building PCs since 2003. I enjoy Linux, supporting FOSS projects and am a tinfoil hat connoisseur.
