The other fallback term, which I've sometimes used already, is "freedom-respecting software".

All software I release is also free of charge. That said, I want there to be no (or less) ambiguity about what I mean when I talk about software or hardware. I'm in favour of *freedom*.

I've been thinking: what if we had a better term than "free software" to say "free software"? Same ideological zeal, in an unambiguous fashion. This question pertains to English-speaking communities.

I have decided to say "freedom software".
Also: "freedom hardware".

A new installment of the freely-licensed Agalder sci-fi series is available: jxself.org/git/?p=universe.git

Agalder is humankind's future world. The planet has been civilized for forty years, and has already had its first major war, the 'Iron Wars', which left the world scarred with burning deserts from the bombs and chemical weapons dropped. There is a paramilitary police force, specialized in armed combat, who are in constant struggle against the gangs of survivors.

BRIDGETON, Mo. (AP) — Nuclear waste buried in a Missouri landfill that sits near an underground smolder is more extensive than first believed, and is part of the reason the $205 million Superfund project that began nearly four years ago has been delayed, an Environmental Protection Agency spokesman said Friday.
