Doing some evening hacking, bringing up the @PINE64 #PineTabV with upstream Linux (6.8-rc3) with only a new DTS and no additional patch!

So far it boots with working console output and eMMC/µSD, but that's about it...

I had a great weekend in Brussels. It was my 3rd FOSDEM, but the first as a speaker and an exhibitor. I attended three regular talks and spent most of my time in the hallway track. After all, I also had some time for sightseeing.

To any other publishers out there, question: You buy an ISBN for a book, and set a price for the book. can you just generate a barcode from a free online tool, or should you pay for a barcode?

Happening NOW : Masks killed more people during the Spanish Flu than the Spanish Flu. The incessant masking compromised immune systems leading to bacterial infections becoming deadly.

Now it's being reported there is a new deadly fungal infection spreading.

History truly repeats itself.

I'm considering buying a new laptop specifically for #Linux. Any recommendations folks would care to share?

2D Platformer "Dangerous Flock Platform" was released recently. It has a native Linux version and is available DRM free on Itch.

I recently played a relaxing game called "Bubbles". It's kinda a cross between Guitar hero and Tetris. You have to pop the falling bubbles by tapping the corresponding colored key. Click the wrong one and you lose a life. If bubbles reach the bottom you lose life. Lose all your lives and the game is over. The music was really soothing which is an interesting combination given how stressful parts of the game can get when the screen is full of bubbles. While the game could have had more depth and technical options it provides fun and challenge regardless. There's leaderboards as well if you choose to upload your score. I paid $2.85 CAD and more than felt I got my moneys worth.  If you enjoy these sort of games than I would recommend it. It has a native Linux version and is available DRM free on Itch. It ran great even on my Trisquel system which uses an Intel UHD 770 so you don't need a powerful system.
