GhostBSD has released version 24.01.1. It's an OS out of Canada that is based on FreeBSD but put's it's own spin on things such as having the Mate desktop preinstalled and having a GUI installer among other things. This release adds support for the future installer and simplified desktop configuration; adds new wallpapers; fixes bugs and security issues; and more. The code is licensed using the BSD-3-Clause license. If you're looking to leave Windows or Mac OS for a more privacy and security friendly operating system then I can easily recommend GhostBSD.

We are bowled over by your support! We're up to 162 Individual Members, 114 of which are new, and we've doubled the number of organizational members 🥳

This is encouraging, though we still have a long way to go to fill the gap in our budget.

Elderly California woman (Fran Itkoff), 90, FIRED from her volunteering position of 60 years at MS nonprofit because she 'did not understand pronouns' despite previously winning multiple awards

When first asked to use pronouns in her email signature, she explained: 'I was confused. I didn't know what it was & what it meant. So when I finally talked to [a staff rep] , I asked what it meant. And she said that meant they were all inclusive, which didn't make sense to me.'

Question for you nerds: is there something like a "sketchpad" made for coders where you can place code snippets on a canvas and then write notes over them with how they connect to eachother or something? I've been doing it with screenshots but file references or raw text would be better.

This is for the purpose of mapping out legacy code that I have to learn. It's the best way to do it that I've come across so far.
