Intaglio set in modern gold bezel and loop ring. The priestess Kassandra, daughter of king Priam and queen Hekuba, is shown nude with only a garment draped over her upper arm and right thigh. On her head there is a laurel wreath. With head bowed, she is kneeling in supplication clasping the Palladion, a figure of Athena, with her right hand. In her left hand, she holds a branch. Athena stands with one leg forward, wearing a long, belted garment (chiton) and a crested helmet. On her right arm she bears a shield decorated with Medusa’s head. She holds a spear across her left shoulder. Unfortunately for Kassandra, her prayers to Athena are in vain.

•Is a big mask made of marble with hollow holes for eyes and its gaping mouth.
•Now rests outside the doors of the Santa Maria in Cosmedin church,Rome, Italy.
•Dating back to around the 1st century AD and weighs about 1300 kg and probably depicts the face of the sea titan god Oceanus.
•According to the legend the mask bite the hands off of liars.
•The most famous legend tells about a woman considered guilty of adultery.
•She had to put her hand in the mouth, swearing to have never cheated on her husband and La Bocca della Verità didn't close its mouth.
•It has been used as a whimsical lie detector in a number of movies and video games, most famously in the 1953 romance, Roman Holiday.

The Byblos figurines are approximately 2,000 statuettes found in ancient Phoenician temples in Lebanon, primarily in Byblos. Originally, many were armed with weapons. The male ones are interpreted to resemble Resheph, the Phoenician deity of war and plague (19th-18th century BCE)
Notice the similarity in design to ancient Egyptian.
